Display Energy Certificates - Public Buildings
Display Energy Certificates (DECs) are currently required for Public Buildings over 500m2.
DECs are also a very useful tool for commercial buildings of virtually any size as they look at the actual energy used in the building in relation to its size, the result is then used to provide the rating. The Certificate also comes with an Advisory Report, the contents of which are based on the actual building and show cost effective measures as to how to improve it.
A DEC is provide annually, so that any improvements made throughout the previous year, the effects of those on the energy saving and cost saving are shown in the rating.
